OmoTrain Shoulder Support

What a relief to have reduced all the pain in my shoulder. I seriously damaged my rotator cuff, with several partial and complete tears, five years ago. Over this time I have bought different support straps, some quite recently. They all helped to some degree or other but being female, some were very difficult to wear, particularly after a few hours. Also, when doing normal activities, the ones that cross over the chest and fasten under the opposite arm, would ride up and cut across my throat, so I was always having to re-adjust it, which caused more pain.

I had not heard of, or seen your products in the chemist or disability stores, so I searched on line. There were several makes available and I studied long and hard. Price was a factor and I hesitated but I am so pleased that I bit the bullet and purchased one.

I ordered it on Monday and it arrived this morning. Amazing service. Especially as I live in rural NZ, fifty minutes from the nearest town.

Of course, I put it on as soon as I had opened it, with help from my hubby and oh, bliss. Pure bliss.

My pain is almost non existent, reduced from 'oh way up there' to hardly noticeable.

Thank you, thank you, for this easy to wear, comfortable and supportive product that does what it is designed to do.

As soon as I am able, I will purchase another one, just so that I can alternate them.

I was recommended to get surgery for my shoulder as I have instability and it dislocated every time I played a sport.

I mainly play volleyball, and had to stop playing outside hitter as once a game without fail my shoulder would dislocate. In oztag and badminton, it would also dislocate. Probably had 40-50 dislocations in the last 6 months.

Decided to invest in an expensive shoulder strap and honestly was very skeptical, however not once since I’ve bought it has it dislocated. Not saying it’s going to completely stop it, but I’ve noticed that when I’m in the dislocation position (especially when hitting in volleyball), my shoulder is pushed towards my body and not left to hang loose in the air which normally causes the dislocation. I still don’t play at 100% and am very cautious, however I feel way more comfortable playing.

Just remember to wash the thing after sport if you sweat, or at least leave it out to dry else it’s disgusting.

It certainly does make my shoulder feel stronger and gives me extra stability when using my arm. I do find that it rubs on the front of my underarm which becomes really annoying, so then I'm trying to shift the support to find relief.

It’s very supportive for a torn supraspinatus tendon and posterior labral tear with associated bursitis (the latter being the most painful of all). The adjustable pad gives good compression at the bursa which provides some modest alleviation to pain symptoms as I await a steroid injection. I think the length of the front a rear torso straps need to be longer in the maximum side to accommodate bigger bodies. The shortness across the back contributes to a hunched posture and digging in at the armpits, no matter how well positioned the straps are. I bought this type to alleviate the underarm discomfort other designs, but it partially fails in that regard due to the inadequate girth of the straps.
