The GenuTrain OA provides immediate and lasting relief from arthritic pain in the knee. It unloads the medial (inside) or lateral (outside) compartment of your knee commonly affected by pain to create instant relief by minimising joint contact. Pain can result from instabilities, injuries to the cartilage and/or bone, and, above all, osteoarthritis. Lightweight and easy to take on and off, it's perfect for all day wear, support while you exercise, or just relaxing at home.

The GenuTrain OA is ideal for moderate arthritis, repeated meniscus injuries, and joint pain. With the BOA tension system, you have complete control over how much you unload the joint, down to the millimetre. As instant pain relief on the go, it's an arthritic knee's best friend.

The GenuTrain OA’s unique relief and stabilisation system gives you back an important level of quality of life. Its straps surround the knee in a figure 8 (without crossing over behind the back of knee sensitive area), allowing them to relieve the painful area on the side of the knee. They reduce pain and, together with the joint splint, stabilise the entire knee whilst be able to move comfortably.

With the Boa® Fit System dial, it’s easy to change the level of relief at any time and adapt it to your activities including day to day activities, walking, hiking or sporting activities. With its lightweight design, breathable 3D mesh fabric and pressure-free bending zone in the hollow of the knee, the GenuTrain® OA provides an extremely comfortable fit. It is comfortably worn for long periods of time to help get you through the day.

Something to ease my Tricompartmental oestoartgritis

I found it hard to adjust and the top of the brace is quite loose. So it feels like it might fall off. I will attempt to try again in a few weeks.

Use of my GenuTrain OA knee brace in my main sport Volleyball

After my meniscus surgery, I've had several episodes of inflammation and painful loss of range of motion, especially deep flexion of my right knee. I'd like to know if this GenuTrain OA knee brace is the right one for me to use in my volleyball competitions, or if there's another one recommended for my condition.

Hi Willy, thanks for asking. For meniscus issues, we would generally recommend the SecuTec Genu for severe cases, the GenuTrain OA or S for moderate, and the A3 for mild. Ultimately, it depends on how long it has been since your surgery and how painful your knee still is. How is this different to the SecuTec OA?

The GenuTrain OA fits comfortably under clothes, and is made from a lightweight fabric and construction to target a particular side of the knee to unload and relieve pain from OA, meniscus issues and more. The SecuTec OA is a fully rigid brace that is for advanced OA, Varus/Valgus issues and other problems.

How does this brace unload the knee?

The GenuTrain OA utilises something known as the "3 point principle". By taking pressure off the joint from abov and below and pulling that to a central point, it eases pressure on one part of the knee while avoiding adding the strain anywhere else.
