Fits very snugly, which is important to give support. There are side braces and a circle brace around the kneecap. They are helpful but not super-rigid, making it more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time, as necessary.

This knee support brace has a gel pad right over the kneecap, and flexible "stays" sewn into it on both sides. This knitted brace isn't very thick, but once I put it on, I really felt the pressure and support coming from it. The stays on both sides bent with my knee with no issues. However, when I bent my knee all the way, the fabric at the back of my knee bunched up and was a little bit uncomfortable. I don't think there's any way around this issue though. Overall, this is a well made, good quality product that I'd recommend to anyone with knee pain or needing extra support around the knee area. Just know that it comes with only 1 brace, not 2.
